Produced by Aaron Lindsey (Marvin Sapp, Yolanda Adams) and Daniel Weatherspoon (Donald Lawrence, Darwin Hobbs), FREE is a 10-track CD that combines traditional and contemporary Gospel, with strong infusions of R&B and even rock. "Our parents let us listen to R&B because they knew we loved the music," said Adriann, "and that was a great thing, because those influences contributed to our diversity as singers as we were growing up.  But there's no doubt about it, that classic gospel is in our blood, and what we love to sing the most."

The Aaron Lindsey produced first single “Free,” is an edgy up-tempo that celebrates liberty and sustaining complete happiness, as RiZen belts out , “If you want to be free and truly be happy, let me introduce you to a friend of mine.  If you want to be free, live your life completely, let me introduce you to, to a friend of mine.” The funk-filled jam delivers the healthy dose of praise and energy for which RiZen is known.

The foot-stomping “Ridiculous Praise” and passionate “Live To Love” showcases Hammond’s knack for urban praise and worship, while Daniel Weatherspoon captures Rizen’s high-spirited testimony with “He’ll Make A Way” and “Worked It Out.”   Additionally, Adriann and Aundrea co-wrote “He’ll Make A Way;” “Just For Me (He Did It);” “Dance;” and “All I Need” - and each track will touch your soul. 

Comprised of real life sisters Adriann and Aundrea Lewis, who are natives of Saginaw , Michigan , RiZen was originally formed in 1995 as an eight-member praise and worship team.  Since then, the group has evolved from eight members to three and, now, to the duo that is newly signed to Verity Records.  In addition to releasing their new CD, RiZen remains committed to their ministry “RiZen from Prison”, which takes the group to a women’s prison in Phoenix every November.  “We made our first visit to the prison in November 2006, the Friday before Thanksgiving,” say Adriann.  “We were asked to do a concert for the women; we said yes and have being going ever since.  On our first visit the spirit of the Lord was so heavy in the small visitation room.  Women were standing outside and sitting in trees just to witness the powerful move of God.  We didn't know that those women would have such an impact on our lives and ministry. 

“This prison outreach is very important because it gives hope to the women that feel no one on the ‘outside’ cares about them.  We have made a promise to give each woman that is released from that prison a pair of stilettos to help remind them of their walk with Christ.  When they put on the shoes they may feel a little tight, just like situations in life may be tight, but as they continue to walk with Christ and wear the shoes, things will lighten up.”
