After 44 years and 35 albums, the Mighty Clouds of Joy is still thrilling audiences everywhere with their old school rhythms and melodies that penetrate deep inside. The group’s latest release, “Movin’” does just that…it gets you movin’! Of all the traditional gospel groups out today, I must admit that The Mighty Clouds of Joy has been one of my favorites for a very long time. This new CD showcases the production skills of longtime powerhouse Sanchez Harley with co-production credited to Ay’Ron Lewis. The CD opens with the encouraging cut, “Jesus Will Turn It Around” and from that point it is one great song after the other. It’s kind of difficult for me to point out just one song as my favorite, because this CD is that good. I am expecting that they’ll be touring a lot with this project…and by the way, have you heard track number 6 and 7? No, no, I will not tell you what they are, just go get your own copy…I mean, you really have to check out the whole project!
