Mayfield Small, Jr. was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina but grew up in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Mayfield began his musical journey at an early age; jumping on anyone's piano or organ when he had an chance to. He eventually learned to play piano well enough to play for his church where he also became one of the lead vocalists for the Praise and the Worship services. Mayfield enjoys singing for the Lord. He has travelled extensively, taking music to many countries and have met many greats that he credits to his present ministry.
